Several weeks ago we had Noel ring us in desperate need of someone to sort his car out for him. Several different people had been involved in the build so far but it needed someone to bring all the parts together and make it all work!

This is how the car was brought down to us, it had been started up but there was a great deal of sins to be sorted out. When we tried to fire it up oil pressure was non existent so with a quick inspection the oil lines for the relocation kit and the cooler we found it was plumbed in wrong so that was corrected and we had oil pressure!, unfortunately the oil pressure shown that there was no front crankshaft oil seal in place so that was installed! Then it was time to fire the car up and we then found the manifold was blowing in several places so that came off and was skimmed flat, a new flange for the exhaust was made and delivered so we could rework the exhaust. Because of the 1JZ external wastegate routing being exactly where the steering rack sat the pipe was cut by a previous person and the welding wasn't too special so that came off and went away to be rewelded and sorted before that could be refitted.
along with a whole host of other issues that were corrected it was dyno time, all went relatively smoothly all bar the turbo to manifold gasket blowing a big hole on it and it made a very impressive 496bhp at 1.5bar!

The car was then given its first major shake down at Santa Pod drift what you brung day and as you can see from courtesy of Leigh Hopewell (www.lhdesigns.co.uk) The car did exactly what it was built for and that was making lots of smoke!
